RationalFX’s Head of eCommerce, Jake Holloway, stated “We are very disappointed to have to announce that our Award-winning Prepaid Mastercard must be withdrawn from the market, and that the existing issued cards will be cancelled from 11th April 2011. This has caused RationalFX and, more importantly, our valued customers considerable inconvenience.” “Some of our cardholders rely on their cards for daily expenses and this will mean that they will have to switch to less competitive alternatives.” The reason for the cancellation has been that White Eagle, who manage the card program, have not had their contract renewed with Newcastle Building Society. “We are very proud of our Travel Card product and this situation has cost us a significant amount of money. However, we can see that none of the parties involved have acted incorrectly and it’s just a very very unfortunate situation.” Continued Holloway. RationalFX have offered this advice to RationalTravelMoneyCard holders.
