Daily Market News 26 July 2011

Yesterday’s Market Movers

  • There was no data out from the EU or US yesterday and the only piece of data from the UK was the BBA mortgage approvals which came in slightly better than expected but failed to have any real impact.

Today’s Market Movers

  • The main piece of data released today is the UK GDP QoQ and YoY which are expected in at around half of last quarter’s and last year’s figures.
  • In the US the FED Manufacturing figures and New Home sales are expected to come in better than previous, however consumer confidence is expected to decrease. None of these are expected to be dramatic movements and it is likely that no major market movements will arise as a result.
